Reality Perplexes

And elderly man sat alone on a dark path. He was not sure of which direction he should pursue; he had forgotten both where he was traveling to... and who he was.

Only sitting for a moment, he violently started at the sudden appearance of a weathered old woman.

A toothless grin eroded her crackled face as she spoke: "Now your third wish. What shall it be?"

You remember nothing because everything is the way it was before you made any wishes at all,” she screeched at the poor man. “So that is why you have one last wish.”

"Alright,” he spoke hesitantly, “I don’t believe any of this; however, I wish to know who I am.”

“Funny, that was your first wish…” (177)
